I’ve done some research but I still don’t really know which one is “better”
Still a student so I don’t have really high monthly expense that has to be paid via credit cards.
Any recommendations for starting amounts of $1k?

Hi Evan, I would highly recommend Standard Chartered Jumpstart (only applicable to open if you're between 18 to 26 years of age) and you should be most likely be eligible since you're still a student. This account gives an interest of 2% p.a. on the first $20k balance, with no minimum and no criteria needed. So, one less worry about trying to meet any credit card spending - Cheers!
